I'm posting this to the Second Chance Hangover Challenge. This one is for Michelle's Secret Santa Challenge.
Daniel was my Secret Santa, and he sent me tons of goodies. I used one of the stamps that he sent to make this card. Daniel, do you know who the manufacturer is?
SUPPLIES: 4 1/4“ x 5 1/2” Bazzill cardstock Neenah Classic Solar White cardstock Distress Ink–Shabby Shutters & Peeled Paint (on white cardstock) Distress Embossing Ink Distress Embossing Powder–Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint, Pine Needles, Faded Jeans, Broken China Basic Grey Glazed Brad
I stamped the background image with embossing ink and put different colors of Distress embossinng powders on different parts of the design to add color and heat embossed.
I searched for an embellishment that would reflect the ethnic look of the stamp, but I didn't have anything. I ended up using a small flower I had punched from the scraps of another project, added a brad, and called it done.
Thank you, Michelle and Danielle, for the challenge and for the goodies.

ETA: When I added the EP to the image, I used my fingers to place small amounts on different parts of the image. When the image was completely covered, I tipped off the excess into a container. The colors are now mixed, but I can still use the EP. At least, that's what I tell myself. I haven't actually ever used it. I saw Tim Holtz use this technique in one of his 12 Tags of Christmas videos: http://timholtz.typepad.com/my_weblog/2007/12/its-day-3—yip.html [timholtz.typepad.com]
Here're links to several video tutorials by Fran Seifert at Stampendous where she shows how to use regular embossing powders to “paint” an image without mixing up the colors. I don't see why this wouldn't work with the Distress Powders too.
