DH and I got married by the justice of the peace 3 and a half months before our military/church wedding hoping to get stationed together sooner. Didn't work but it was worth a try. Journaling: Shannon met Bill at Ft. Lewis, Washington in 1984. Bill left to start two years of training at Ft. Benning, Ft. Bragg and the Presidio of Monterey in January of 1986 so they tried to carry on a bicoastal relationship. They made a trip together to Vancouver, B.C. to attend Expo where Bill proposed on June 21, 1986. They planned a December wedding but were desperate to try to get stationed together so Shannon went to Fayetteville, N.C. for a four day weekend to get married on August 29, 1986 in the hope that it would speed up the process. Unfortunately, it didn’t help. They were separated until December 1987 when they both could be stationed at Ft. Devens, Massachusetts. Used one of Jen's templates for the challenge and Liz Tamahana wedding kit.
