I made a book for my Mom's 98th birthday party yesterday- eventually I'll make a bound Shutterfly-type book, but for now it's in a lovely silk 8x8 album. A few months ago, my nephew Ehren interviewed Mom, asking her lots of questions about her life, especially her young life before marrying. He wants to write her life story, but the project was a bit ambitions. He and I decided that he would send me the transcript, and I would put it together with some of the layouts I've done about her through the years. This is the cover, just a simple photo of her at age 12, (I had to do quite a bit of restoration- it was quite faded and there was some damage). I have added one of the pages, and show how I added the 3 Sisters layout, which I have previously posted here, as the illustration for that page. It turned out beautifully, and she was so pleased!Sythe font.
