Some pictures from DS2s 9th birthday (2009). Personally I love the photo of him with the cake, even from the side he looks like that is the first cake he has seen, EVER!
I made the template I used for the "bricks" behind the photos, squished some modeling clay on, and sprayed them with two mists. I don't know what brand the orange cardstock is, or the ribbon with the circles.The journaling circle's background is just a piece of chipboard with green glaze mixed with white fabric paint (it was the only white paint I had!) to tone it down because the green was too dark. The blue flags are inked onto the page, and the other flags are layered up randomly (some of those have the glaze on them too.)
