These are my grandparents and I am almost positive this is their wedding portrait. It is a professional photo and my great grandfather probably paid for it. Dave and Mary were farmers in Durand(about 100 miles from Chicago). Look at how big and strong my grandfather's hands are. He died tragically in a farm accident when my mother and aunt were only 16 years old. My grandmother gave birth to "the twins" on the kitchen table and was never really well. She died of a massive stoke shortly after my grandfather died. I prayed about what to do with this photo and spent a month slowly putting together this layout.
