It worked well I've been doing similar techniques. But need to find the right photo to use on the pages. Being an artist I find that I get carried away with the page and forget the whole idea is to enhance the photo.

I started with 12*12 a white card stock.
I pasted several patterned papers and stamped to make a background. I painted acrylic paints and gesso, too. I tried to make some kind of granitic color and stone-like texture.
