WOW, this is so lovely! The colors, papers, everything just put together so beautifully! You are great with the mixed media. Love the dragonflies too!:)
Beautiful, innovative LO - love the soft purple colours, textures, sparkle and dragonflies. This has to be one of your prettiest pages ever. Great work!
Beautiful!! Love how the whole page seems to blend together with the pretty photo as tho it's a piece of Art Work. Love the purple!! Renea's beautiful dragonflies just fit right in. Congrats Melissa for the guest spot for Renea's Design Team. How awesome!
Wow-loving the gorgeous colours and beautiful combination of textures and details; glad you were able to find a good home for the butterfly! :) The photo is gorgeous too and looks like a wonderful spot.
So very beautiful and peaceful, Melissa. I love the colors, that wonderful layering and the beautiful embellies. I'm wondering if your photo depicts the Bay or the Peconic River.
Wow! That's really pretty Melissa!! Love the dragonflies and butterfly peeking out! Were you able to use some of those beads I sent on this one. I remember sending a variety. Just curious! Love the rhinestone piece at the bottom too.
Renea asked me to be a guest for September for her design team. Of course I was thrilled to be able to do so!
Renea's beautiful purple dragonflies look terrific with this photo of my favorite view in the world. It's in Northport, on Long Island, about 46 miles east of New York City. My husband Rich grew up here, and his Mom's house is just a few minutes away.
The chipboard is from Gina's Designs, I have so much fun working with it.
I did some experimenting with paints. I put different types on a piece of folded wax paper, after misting some water on. I used dylusions, Viva precious colors, and twinkle H20s. I took a paint brush and mixed bits up, making different shades as I went. I painted the edges, and then I put a bunch on the watercolor ppr you see here. I cut it up into strips and used it to cover areas that I thought looked too busy from the stencil work.
I've used a lot of things from my scrappy friends here at Scrapbook.com:
Abbygirl- the flowers at the two left hand corners of the photo. They were a violet color . I used a mix of twinkle h20s, watercolors, and mica powder to paint them.
iridescent sequins above the photo.
48SixTime- the green rose leaf at the left hand side of the photo
LynneJ-the big silver butterfly at the left of the photo.
