This was a challenging page. I knew when I saw the October Once Upon A... Sketch challenge, that I wanted to scrap this picture of DH and DD.
My journaling reads...
My DD is vivacious, talented, and beautiful. She is a tonic to me. She is my Special Joy and she completes our family.
This year was hard on me. Although, she has been away at college for two years, it was this year that the "empty nest" syndrome caught up with me. I took this picture as we were leaving her apartment after spending a few precious hours enjoying her company.
This is also entered in several other challenges.
Colour Challenge- Brown- woodgrain from DCwV photo collection, Teal- Kraft core Shattered Collection, Pink- Colorbok Designer Paper- Fashionista. It has the twist of ribbon. The ribbon, flower and key came from Scrapbook Fantasies. The lock is by My Paper Studio Spare Parts.
The ribbon leads us to the 4 Categories Challenge-Category One ~ Product: Sequins. It's twist, and how fun is this, is 3 patterned papers.
The title came from the Music Challenge-Category Four: Song Thank God I Got Her by Jonny Diaz.
Just for fun I am entering this in the Creative Title and Gratefulness Challenges.
I just discovered the Anti-hoarders challenge. How fun! A friend and I went shopping and hit the major stores. I bought the My Paper Studio Gemstones- turquoise, the corner beads, and the My Paper Studio Spare-Parts and the Darice Stickerz. The flower and key came as a prize package. The flower petal paper was purchased in the past 3 months. The edge punchers are a loan from a friend. I have so enjoyed using her punches. Thank you, Tracey. The feathers I gathered yesterday morning from my chicken house. The picture was taken in the past month, too!
