I love the thing hanging in the corner too...it looks lovely and I love the lovely photo. I wish I could get my hydrangeas to change to that color..stuck rusty nails in the soil and bought different products..the most I could get was baby blue and lavender. By the ocean near here they are brilliant blue. I think I need to move to the sea. Anyway your layout is soooo pretty. And your techniques, while subtle work wonderfully here. Now to get my fingers messy.....
Oh my, this is just layers and layers of beautiful, isn't it?! The longer I look at it, the more elements I see. So subtle, a perfect b/g to let the gorgeous flowers shine.
Hydrangeas are everywhere on the Cape. They come in every shade from purest white to deep periwinkle. For November Round Robin we were given this beautiful lo by Heather Jacob as inspiration. It is such lovely and innovative art and I wish I could have done it more justice. I did a lot of fun messy work on this though it doesn't show well online. Did layers of misting, stenciling, stamping and painting, and then I used old pp and old rubons and old paint that needed to be reconstituted.
