DS2 October 1, 2014, waiting for his eye surgery. The journaling reads, "after 9 months of seeing specialists, the day of your surgery was finally here, and you were the least concerned of everyone. we went to the hospital not knowing exactly what would be needed, not even the doctor could say how extensive the surgery would be. but before he took you to the operating room he said there was a possibility you would need surgery on both eyes. as it turned out he was wrong, all it took was one muscle being cut in the right eye; you were out of surgery within 30 minutes. the double vision was gone, and has remained gone so far, unless you tilt your head to the left. Feb. 9, 2015"

On the right page you can see he was so bored with just waiting that he was having too much fun with the hair net thing, and on the left page he is texting, making a funny face, and wondering why I was taking pictures of him!!

The white label that is by the title is actually the sticker I got from the hospital so that I had his patient number and could keep track of his progress on the monitors in the waiting room.

Stuff I did:
The "blurry" letters, the design on the bracket frame background mat, and the title were done with Silhouette Studio and a sketch pen. The journaling was done with the original pen holder and a regular ball point pen (the font is "daddy long legs"). All of the die cuts are from the Silhouette Store.

Other Products:
-Cracked Pistachio Distress Paint (I mixed it with the Broken China for the teal-ish color on the eye chart and the "1")
-All of the regular kraft paper is from a Paper Studio kraft stack

Challenge:
Four Categories: Category 3: Technique: Layers (5+ layers) with twist, at least one circle/oval layer; the Bright Side - Upbeat PP was used to make a circle.
