This is my oldest son, Joshua with my daddy back in 1986.

The plane and the wavy border are handcut. The title is done with stickers. The journal square is torn and chalked on the edges. The "grandpa" embellies and plaid pp are from a grandparents set. Other pps are old ones from my stash. The trail across the top border is stitched.

The journal reads:

Joshua,
From the time you were big enough to walk and talk, you loved playing on the screen porch. It just so happened that the porch looked out over Grandpa's garden. When Grandpa was out working and would spot you on the porch playing, he would holler up to you "Hey, Boy!" It wasn't long at all before you would go out on the porch, spot Grandpa, and holler "Hey, Boy!" at him. You would continue to holler at him until he dropped his hoe and came up to the porch. He always came... it didn't matter how many times a day this occurred... to play with you and swing you, usually until you fell asleep. Sometimes he would just keep swinging until you got your nap out. These photos were taken in March of 1986. You were 16 months old and Grandpa was 66 years old.

TFL!
