This year our DD did not want to have a birthday party (she knows that we need to watch our expenses due to the purchase of our house). Instead, she invited a friend for her very first sleepover! In the old apartment we could never have a sleepover as she was sharing her small room with her baby brother who woke up many many times each night.
It went really, really well and she was thrilled. The girls staged a "we are fast asleep" for me... so cute!
