Elizabeth, how did I miss this? I just logged on and it was in featured cards! This is just too cute!!!!! What a creative mind you have!!! This card just makes me smile!!!!!!
Love that something just caught your eye and you stopped to photograph it. I thought I was the only one who did that. My daughter and I used to go on "road trips" with our camera, heading out through the country with no destination in mind, just keeping our eyes open for anything interesting. If this card doesn't make them smile, nothing will!
What would we do without you Eliz!?! Your creativity is so unique and wonderful. This is SUCH a fun card! I love that when you see something, you get inspired enough to "take that pic" or, use that 'not so obvious' thing- TFS!!
You are so innovative. This is wonderful. I love the "oddball" objects you use in your art. Who would have thought to use the corn silk. Such a cute card.
This is soooooooo funny & you have such a creative mind! Of course, you used cornsilk!!! You just crack me up my friend & I have to read every word because if I don't I know I will certainly miss something!:))
oh my goodness - your creativity is definitely over the top this time!!! I love that you saved corn silk and found it to be a perfect embellie for this card.
Sorry your printer is misbehaving. I was getting icky things on my stuff too and finally cleaned it a couple of times and it is working fine now... but of course that may not be YOUR problem. Still you've come up with a great solution. Fun card and the cornsilk usage is definitely interesting.
Well, my original intention was to make three cards on my computer using just my photography and my Print Shop program. For some reason, my printer is leaving black ink splotches here and there so I had to cut out the pictures and verses and apply them to colored cardstock.
This is one of my humorous cards. The story behind the picture...I was driving home one day a few years back and noticed this very tall weed (Mullein) that was going to seed. I thought it was a rather interesting shape so I stopped and took a picture of it. When I put it on my computer I started laughing because I thought it looked like a deformed mouth, so I add some clipart eyes and cowboy hat to it and came up with the phrase! When I printed the card there was some ink blotches on the lower right corner so I decided to add the floral spray. Now, for those of you that know I use oddball things on my projects at times you will get a laugh out of this. I used actual cornsilks under the flower and cork leaves! I had bought some fresh corn on the cob at a local store and when I was shucking them I thought cornsilks are so pretty and soft so I kept some and let it dry! The cork leaves are from Unique Laser Designs that I got while I was a Guest Designer. I think the flower is either Petaloo or Prima.
