This has "Winner" written all over it! !(if It was in the running for a prize) I can't take my eyes off of it!!! I keep seeing one interesting element after another. Nice friend to send you the carousal.
I really appreciate the story, as well as agreeing with the other commenters before me. I love the layers, the colors, the clever positioning of the photo, the ideas and innovation, the use of special papers and diamond theme, the banner and clever balance of cool and warm. Great job!
This is beautiful and I love the bling on the carousel! This is one of those rare layouts that you can look at and look at and keep seeing more details. You really did a beautiful job on this one - I just keep going back to it and looking at it!
I was really excited to do this LO for a few reasons. #1 its all 3 kids (DD & Cousins) together. #2 I LOVE this circus collection of papers. #3 In order for me to Scraplift "Cutie Pie" for the Scraplift the Person Before You Challenge Norma sent me the Carousel die cut she used in her LO. How awesome (aka SUPER SWEET) is that??!? I am so appreciative of her kind gesture. Plus she sent me more for back up. Which is double awesome because I actually have 2 more sets of pictures of DD on different carousels...so now I get to challenge myself to see how many different ways I can use them. Please check out the inspiration LO (and all the other LO's in Norma's gallery) its awesome!
OK so the other day I was looking for some AA batteries and opened a drawer I had not been in, in a really long time. Guess what I found in there? Metallic watercolor paints! I forgot I was given them by a friend. At the time I didn't use water color, but now that I am dabbling in it, I was SUPER stoked to find these. Obviously I still need a ton of practice, but I am fairly pleased with the result. BTW while I was painting in my scrap room DD decided she was going to paint too...so I let her loose at her little scrap table (it nests under mine so she can sit right beside me) and she painted her hand and made beautiful hand print art for me. It was a really fun night last night. Plus DH was on puppy duty, so it was the first time DD & I were alone together (not in the car) all week. I love scrapping with her. I hope this trend continues. :-D
For the adhesive challenge I used Glue sticks, glue dots, and foam squares.
