This post card shows an overview of the West Wall better than I was able to capture.
The left side is for the men and the women's side is on the right. A fence runs between the two. On the far right is excavation that is being done.
It was so hard to imagine that this wall was part of the original temple in the Bible!
Just beyond the West Wall is the Dome of the Rock. It is standing on the spot where the Temple of Solomon once stood before it was destroyed by the Romans.
I just kept trying to imagine how this entire scene in front of me would have looked when the Temple was still standing!
