Beautiful layout. We arent campers or fishers so we never spent time there, just drive through visits with the occasional pit stops. Such a beautiful area :o)Ro
What a gorgeous, gorgeous page! I love this one! So clever the way you used the embossed papers for the clouds to give texture. You did an awesome job with the distressing and the shadow under the cloud! Bravo! I can see why that lake is your happy place. How peaceful and serene there and so pretty and calm! Great photo - definitely one of my faves!
Oh Katie...what a beautiful place for your anniversary. Lucky 13! The way you did the sky is wonderful. The embossed and inked clouds was genius. I'm curious...what's up with the squirrel motif on all your pages?
This is another LO for my 2012 South Dakota Trip. We are pictured in front of Sylvan Lake in Custer State Park. We really like this lake and have to visit it every year. That year it was the date of of thirteenth anniversary. I have included a design called "squirrel" (cut with my Silhouette) because all of the pages (or two pagers) for this album will feature a squirrel on them. The title was also cut with my Silhouette. The fonts used were Times New Roman and Simplesnails ver 4.0. In addition, the two hearts were cut with Silhouette using a design called of course "Two Hearts". I also inked 13 white hearts above our photo, in the sky, since the day was our thirteenth anniversary using a simple paper stencil again cut on the Silhouette. I used the heart from the "Heart and Speech Bubble" and duplicated 13 times and varied the sizes. The clouds were cut using a punch and oddly enough a Cricut machine. I can't remember the cartridge name or the machine name either for that matter. I also embossed on them with a folder called Cut Ribbon by The Paper Studio. I crimped the dark background strip with an old Fiskars crimper. The tiny brads on the date strip are by Recollections. The banners were cut with Taylor Expressions die. The "happy anniversary" sentiment on the photo was stamped with a stamp from Savvy Stampers. I can't currently remember who made the blue paper.
This LO was inspired by a sketch that can be found here: www.thescrappiest.blogspot.com Sketch #160
