How freakin' cool is this. I love how you displayed the layouts and all you have to do is look up for inspiration. Thanks for sharing your space. It is always interesting to see each other's work space.
What a fabulous display! Some hardware stores have samples of colors for you to take home. I'd really do that, then you would have a more realistic idea for the outcome. I also heard somewhere that there is a app, or site on your puter, that you can take a pic of your room and paint it different colors. Might be fun to go there.
I am insanely jealous of you, my friend! This is SO cool and such a wonderful way to oggle your work a few more days or weeks or months!! LOVE LOVE LOVE it! For the wall, a soft gray would be pretty too!
for wall color- black absorbs light in a room, try a light grey (Grey paint comes in shades with green tones ) it wont clash with your gallery and will keep the room looking bright!
I would be afraid that black would darken the space enough that you wouldn't enjoy being in there. I love your lighted layout wall. Great idea to enjoy your work for a while!
I hate saying goodbye to my completed LOs. So before I put them away (aka, put them in a stack to be sorted into albums months later) I hang them here so I oogle them a little longer. Plus, DD loves to look at them and occasionally guests peek at them too if they wander into that room (its just off the kitchen & living room because it is technically the formal dining room....as if I needed a FORMAL anything).
I just added the shelf. Its deep enough to hold my D-Ring albums. Plus I add lights to the underside...Don't you love it? I painted the gallery part of the wall white so it wouldn't contrast against the ever rotating LOs. The next step is to paint the walls the actual color I want in the room. I still haven't decided, hence why its still the original beige from when we bought the house. I am thinking some sort of green...possibly like a (pretty) avocado color. IDK. I am also tempted to pain it black because I think that would be really striking, but if you'll notice I have really dark "wood" shelves in there and I think it would contrast horribly. Any ideas? Thanks!
ps....over to the right is a tiny table with all out seedlings on it. Its the best sport for warm sun light until it all goes into the garden next month. Just in case you were wondering.
