And finally, here is the fourth page I managed to finish just last night. LOVE how it turned out too!

Here's DH and I at Ventura Beach last summer. One of my favorite photos that I had printed in black n white on a whim. The color shot is great, but I think the b/w focuses on the people in the picture instead of the rest going on. And that's the focus of this page – US!

We've been together for 11 years (going on 12!) and will be married 9 years come Labor Day. I can't believe how much time has flown and how much has happened! I'm proud we're still going strong and just as happy (most of the time)!

This page is also very appropriate to be posted today as today is Leap Day and also International Rare Disease Day. A large part of our relationship over the last nearly six years has been the search, diagnosis and treatments of Juan's very rare disease, Systemic Diffuse Scleroderma. This has brought immeasurable stress to our relationship, testing us both physically and mentally as well as emotionally since his initial diagnosis back in 2010. (By the by, one of the doctors who diagnosed him back then said he'd only live about 2 more years… HA shows what THAT guy knew! Geesh…) We're in a better spot now as his pulmonary fibrosis seems under control and he was officially kicked off the lung transplant list at UCLA in January because of the near-miraculous improvement in his lung functioning! He's been off oxygen since our DD was born in July!! The scleroderma seems to be retreating some, but he still battles the digestive issues related to the disease. He's lost upwards of 65 pounds since last year and continues to lose weight despite my best efforts at fattening him up! In any case, it's a daily struggle and today, the rare Leap Day, is a day to recognize those some 60,000,000 patients and their families worldwide who struggle daily with a rare disease. www.rarediseaseday.org for more info.

I created this for the Four Categories Challenge: #2 PINK with the PUNCH twist! I LOVE this My Story line by MME! It's not my usual color scheme, but the pprs are so fun and bright I couldn't resist! This day in Ventura was one of the happiest memories of the summer and I smile whenever I see this pic! Also for Hoarders Challenge – that little vellum pocket with the heart and phrase is an ooooooold Soft Spoken embellie I bought probably back in 2007 when I started scrapping! So glad to finally use it! Also that butterfly punch I used has been laying low in my stash since I've mostly been focused on boy pages the last three years. LOL!

TFL!
