Santa's boot footstep? That is awesome! How clever and I love that you made snowy footsteps in the house. Christmas is so much fun with little ones who still believe! This layout is beautiful - I don't think you left off a thing! The twine is very cool - everything about this layout is very cool! The stockings look so dimensional and your distressing is first class! Your rocked this one!
really amazing layout. i like the stenciling in the bg and the banners are very festive. I only take pics of the trees. I like that you took photos of your room's decorations.
This is just beautiful!! Thanks for giving me a notice about it!. Love your garland with the stockings. I don`t think you miss anything on this layout - it is perfect as it is.
I just love this! So many great things to look at; the banners with the stockings, the poinsettias at either end, the stencils, background paper and the pictures!
Oh my gosh...this is one of the best Christmas LOs ever!!! I don't know where to start on what I like about it. I will start with the garland going across the page. It is so creative. The background paper is freakin' perfect for this. I think I need to get me some of it. LOL! Thanks for sharing...it is lucky #13!!!
This was our second Christmas in this house. Unfortunately I couldn't remember how I did all the decorations the year before...so we just made it up on the fly. We were doing great until Sunny got really sick...so much vomiting! So I took her to the vet...3 hours and $350 later it was determined that the one piece of ham she snuck off the table the day before (Thanksgiving) was the culprit. UUGH! The joy of owning a dog. However I will say this: something changed that day. she became more than the puppy we had to take care of and train, but a very valued member of the family and someone I realized I would miss terribly if something were to happen to her.
Despite the (emotional) interruption, we did manage to get the place decorated, eventually. And I loved the way it turned out. Plus I am super proud of DD and DH for doing the tree all by their selves. A fact DD was very proud of for several days. I was also very proud of the super cool stencil I found at HL...its Santa's foot prints! So after DD went to bed on Christmas eve I totally made his "snowy" foot prints leaving the fireplace...though mud would have been more apropos in Florida. haha
I struggled with this LO...I wanted it to feel home-y and homespun, and yet festive. Luckily I remembered how much I really liked " New dress" By: Lillesmor. So this is my lift. About half way though I wanted to pull my hair out, because it wasn't coming together and I had no idea how to start all over again. So I didn't and just pushed forward. I still think I am missing something but I can't put my finger on it. If you think of it...add it to the comments. I'd appreciate the help. Thanks!!
