he might have tried to strike the man but in actual fact the venom glands are removed from the snakes before they are used for this purpose - that of course doesn't change them wanting to fight
Dang...that was a little close to a angry king cobra! Yikes! The temple is beautiful and such a peaceful setting until the snake arrived. LOL! You really nailed the color combination on this one with the polka dot. The dots really pick up all the lovely colors in the photos. The double matting was a stroke of genius too.
Later in the morning we stopped at a very pretty little temple built on a lake. Bill, Marge and Jan got out to take pictures. I could see the temple from the window and my knees were hurting a little so Bill told me he would get out to take the pictures for us.
It was extremely hot so I sat in the van by myself with the side doors open for ventilation when a man came to within 6-8 feet of the open an door and sat down on the sidewalk and set a little basket next to him and all the red flags went off – another snake charmer and I knew the basket had a cobra in it.
Yep – a few minutes later (Bill, Jan and Marge were still taking pictures at the temple) the man took the stone weights off the top of the basket and up rose another king cobra! However, this one was angry and tried several times to strike the man. I managed to get to the door of the van and slam it shut but I didn't know how to lock it.
