Hi Froggers, I really do enjoy having my ribbons just a snip away. My husband purchased a 1 x 4 piece of wood per my desired length and added an end block forming an L. I screwed a wood knob at the end of each L and stretched a "strong" piece of cord between the expanse. Once that was in place I just loaded my ribbons...however, make sure the cord is tight or your ribbons will come tumbling down... hope this is helpfull.
Want to have my hubby copy your ribbon storage. I have tried several types abd haven't found one i can work with. Yours looks like it is very functional.
Hi! I bought the black table top from Ikea and then bought a good grade of plywood at Home Depot that I had pre measured to the height and width of my many plastic drawer storage units. After I had painted the plywood black, I attached the plywood to the table top with heavy duty L brackets. To assure the table stability I also used L brackets to adhere the table to the wall. My table measurements are 79" L X 23 1/2" W and the plywood measurements are 18" W X 41 1/2" H. The plastic storage containers measure 40 " H X 16" W so I did allow for an over hang in the front and a 1" at the back for the rooms base boards. I love my table and Ikea offers other sizes and colors. So I hope this answers your question and have fun creating!
