You know how to make the most of your excursions with many memories and memorabilia to "relive" your trips once you return home. Provided you are home long enough and not living another adventure!! Great perspective of viewing the world thru your eyes.
After we had ridden the bus around the complete loop once we stayed on until the bus while it went around again until reached the cute little section of open markets that had interested us when we passed by them earlier. We walked block after block looking at local crafts and African items.
Bill bought me a really pretty caftan – floor length with lions and tigers and cheetahs on it. The sides were not hemmed from the sleeve to the bottom on any of the caftans and I didn't want the raw edges, even though they were on the inside of the seam and wouldn't show – I wanted it finished nicely so it would not fray on the edges.
The woman working in the little tented shop told me her sister made it and she would take it to her right now to get the sides hemmed the way I wanted them (the bottom was already hemmed nicely). Her sister lived around the corner so she told us to come back to pick it up in 5-10 minutes.
She hemmed it beautifully on both sides and didn't charge one extra penny! This beautiful caftan was only $20.00! Then at another tent we found awesome handcrafted African Zulu beads which accented it. I can't wait to wear my new caftan and the Zulu bead necklace and earrings!
