I love the watercolor technique that you used on the circles. Saving to faves so I can remember to try it. Love the photos of the portal - great shots!
My DH and I visited a camp for disabled people during their annual April Omelet Breakfast fund raiser there. We took a stroll through the woods on the well paved path and encountered one of the culvert/tunnels. It allows hikers to walk along under a small passenger train track. To me, it had an interesting look so I snapped a couple of photos. The journaling (done in my own not so glamorous handwriting) reads: "During our spring trek along the wooded paths of Camp Courageous, we discovered the beautiful view of a portal to a secluded spot in nature."
For the circle background I used a watercolor technique that I'd used before on cards. I thought it might be interesting to try it on a LO too. I took an acrylic block and colored with the markers on to it and then spritzed the block and applied the results to paper. I then cut them all into circles of course.
The evergreens were cut with my Silhouette and the title was cut with a die set. I colored the greens with the gelato watercolor technique and used a water brush to paint the paper.
The LO design was inspired by a sketch that can be found here: http://ideasforscrapbookers.blogspot.dk/2012/07/my-layout-based-on-sketch.html
