sometimes the paper and photos is all you need...which I think is perfect for this layout. Perfect paper for this and then like that you reprinted the wording on vellum to make an impact with it. Great photos.
This is beautiful Lisa - I never knew there were so many kinds of daffodils! And all of the are so pretty! I only knew about the yellow ones that are all yellow. This pages shows them off beautifully - really goes with the beauty of the flowers and lets the flowers be the stars! Excellent choice for poem!
Photos I took in April 2010 of various daffodils around my house, at my bff's, and at the zoo. I used four of these photos for my Photos of the Day that month in the POD group here.
This is my example for my June Four Categories Challenge - Category Two ~ Color: Green and Yellow. For the embossing twist, I used a Fiskars corner punch on the vellum that also embosses a pattern on the corner. It's extremely hard to see in the photo of the LO, but it's there.
I used pp's by Scrapperdashery that have the words to Wordsworth's I Wandered Lonely As a Cloud, aka Daffodils, printed on them. I also printed the poem on vellum to use on the LO.
I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud By William Wordsworth
I wandered lonely as a cloud That floats on high o'er vales and hills, When all at once I saw a crowd, A host, of golden daffodils; Beside the lake, beneath the trees, Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine And twinkle on the milky way, They stretched in never-ending line Along the margin of a bay: Ten thousand saw I at a glance, Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced; but they Out-did the sparkling waves in glee: A poet could not but be gay, In such a jocund company: I gazed—and gazed—but little thought What wealth the show to me had brought:
For oft, when on my couch I lie In vacant or in pensive mood, They flash upon that inward eye Which is the bliss of solitude; And then my heart with pleasure fills, And dances with the daffodils.
I cut the title with the Stone Script cart on my Cricut. And that's it... no embellishments. I'm finding that I have less and less time to scrap these days, so I don't have time to fool around with multimedia or making embellies, or even digging through my stash for things to fit a LO, let alone shopping for more stuff. Heck, I can barely even get photos edited and printed. I'm trying to let go of that feeling that a LO 'isn't done' if I don't have a ton of stuff going on. It's freeing. I'm getting back to simpler and simpler LO's as much as I can. It's a process. LOL
