Very classy indeed! Love the old world feel! When I saw how you used your mesh in the background, I remembered a bag of apples in my fridge in a mesh bag. I'm lifting this idea for my next LO, LOL! Love the "outside of the box" stuff.
You never cease to amaze me with your unique designs!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love the way you explain your work. It means more than you'll never know. great family collection<<<<
What you did here is a masterpiece. I loved the way you cut the photos and matted them in the black pok a dot paper. All of the little treasures like the lamp post and other metals are beautiful. To my favs... Wow
Great masculine page! Masculine with an elegant touch. Love the textures and all the other goodies you used. Great idea to fussy cut them out and add. It worked so well here. Love how you used the arrows to point to the photo. Creative use of the Ham netting (I use it from deep-dish pizzas). And look at your handsomes looking all dapper in their suits. And they look like they're having fun
Well GF you did it again! Another amazing heartfelt lo. All 3 of them are so handsome & so cool your son wanted a suit like his uncle. I had forgotten I sent that cb to you, but I like how you changed it up to fit the lo, plain black would have been boring! I would have been so disappointed had you not used something off the wall, but you came thru girl! Awesome as always!:)
First of all, I have to say I really struggled with this one. It took me several days to put together. I didn't like the background of the pictures and couldn't figure out what papers to use to mat them although I had chosen my background paper right away. I ended up fussy cutting the pictures out and like them better that way. When I finally got them matted it still took me awhile to figure out what I wanted to do but eventually I did and I kind of like how it turned out.
The featured pictures were taken the end of last month when we went to the annual meeting at Madera, CA. I wanted a picture of Sam and Dan with my brother, Robert, in their suits. Now, it gives him a complex that my boys are taller than him!! LOL. Every photo shoot with the boys, he climbs on something or they squat down to be shorter than him! LOL I love my brother! :-D One other thing...Dan liked Uncle Robert's suit so much he bought one just like it the day before this was taken!
The pretty hanging sign piece was from Marylou (Meggie's Nana) and the lamp post from Brandy (Jellybean). Thank you my friends! The sign was black to start with so all I did to it was add Perfect Pearls Heirloom Gold spray mist. I inked in the lamp post with TH Black Soot and then sprayed it with the gold mist also. Added a button from my stash, cut out a couple of little bitty clocks from TH Lost & Found paper stack and then stamped and cut out the year and used little foam squares.
Really, the only off the wall item is the black netting I used under the pictures. It was what a couple of ham steaks from Walmart were wrapped in!
Background paper is called Crinkle Charcoal from the Paper Studio. It didn't take rubber stamping too well even with Archival jet black ink! The arrow paper clips were from Walmart. The resin clock is from Gone Artsy. From Hobby Lobby: The background paper, intricate corners, alpha stickers, tag, key and hinge clip. Clock is from Pinterest.
