the Globe is also the only building in London allowed to have a thatched roof (because of the risk of fire). Did you notice the Golden Hind and did you see where Fagan's place was on this part of the tour?
Directly below: Shakespeare's Globe Theater Original theater was built in 1599 and burned down during a performance of King Henry VIII. Rebuilt in 1614 and closed a few years later then torn down. This theater was built in 1997 and is 750' from site of original spot.
