When I first saw the huge burger, I thought this is one of those that you get for a group of people, you know the ones that look gigantic but you really cut it into smaller portions. THEN I read your note where they throw it away and I thought what a waste. I was so glad they make it so the fish can eat it. Great LO and, as always, love your journaling.

Love the red/white/blue and the stars! That is huge! I can understand why they had to throw it out though - yo wouldn't want to get sick on it.

30 Pounds of Beef

Today was the 4th of July. A hamburger was on display in the Lido buffet made out of 30 pounds of beef. Before they threw it away they let Bill have pictures made with it.

When we got home this beautiful card from Katie McWaters was in my mailbox!

NOTE NOT IN JOURNALING: I was surprised they just threw it away but they said they made it very early in the morning to put on display and it sat out all day. They couldn't risk making passengers sick, plus people were touching it all day to see if it was real.

I asked what happened to food waste like this - they said they have a grinder and all food leftovers are coarsely ground and put in the ocean for the fish to eat.
