You are so creative! Very cool card for a teen! They can be hard to impress but by the sounds of it, your niece was thrilled (who wouldn't be though...this card is awesome!) I really like the design and mix of colors you chose. I also always love reading about your creative process.
I needed a birthday card for my 13 yoa niece. She is into Anime and she likes to draw. I found some anime digis I liked but they were only black and white and I needed color since husband was busy and had no time to color one for me. So I found this one and it came b/w and color!! I liked that it had a cutesy aspect to it instead of more grown up. She is growing up fast enough so I will hold onto cutesy as long as I can. Which when she saw the card she said oh she is pretty I like her!! Once I had the image then I went looking for inspiration on the design. August Inspirational Card Challenge - Lift Category - is to lift any of Mendi Yoshikawa's cards in her gallery. The first card in her gallery I thought was perfect: http://www.scrapbook.com/galleries/817285/view/5704823/4/0/0.html The front says "Happy Birthday" in Japanese. On the inside we put "In Japanese that says "You're a Big Fat Green Booger" and then in very little font under that (...or it means Happy Birthday). She immediately got out her phone to look up what it REALLY meant!!! She doesn't trust my husband after all the practical jokes he has pulled on her!!
