In my quest to save some old photos, I ran across these of our daughter taken many years ago.

Added note: My husband thinks this LO is ‘gaudy', but I don't let him worry me! I like all the flowers!

Hidden journaling under main photo:

Sweet Amy,

Do you remember this day? This was the day ‘you married Frank'!

Frank and Mary had become such dear friends and you adopted them as surrogate grandparents. Their third daughter, Marilou, would babysit you and Greg on occasion. When she became engaged and started planning her wedding, she wanted you to be her flower girl.

You had just turned three and I was afraid you wouldn't be able to stand still for so long but you were just perfect both at the rehearsal, the longest rehearsal I'd ever attended, and at the wedding. At the rehearsal you stood with Frank, would hold his hand or sit on his lap when you weren't standing on ‘your spot'.

When you walked down the aisle with you little basket of flowers and a sweet smile, you saw your daddy and me and started to wave but then remembered you weren't supposed to stop and talk to us or ‘wave', hence your hand was going back down when the photographer snapped the lower right picture.

Since the rehearsal and every day after, you always talked about the day you ‘married Frank'. At your own wedding many years later, Frank reminded you that you were already ‘married'.

This, for me, has always been a sweet memory,
Love Mom
