I love love love this page!!! I am totally happy with it, except of course my handwriting on the journaling...which reads "MAJ Navarre welcomes MAJ Munro home from R&R. She was missed!"
I want to cry when I remember this day. Jen was exausted, so tired and desperately needed rest. She left for R&R the same time three very dear people went home for good. The staff was stretched thin and we were all walking around like we were at a funeral. While she was gone she called and we had marathon two hour phone calls. Who would ever imagine that you would miss Iraq? When she returned the airline lot her luggage so we saw her in civilian clothes for the first time. MAJ NAvarre was one of many who grabbed her in a hard embrace.
