This is for Taras Imperfect lives challenge, the topic this month being against all odds, I met the twists of having journalling and an odd number of elements, there are FIVE pp's, FIVE layered flowers, ONE photo, ONE ribbon, THREE different coloured inks, Journalling reads :My mum.

My role model and my inspiration.

At 40 years old, Mum began the long and demoralising struggle against Myasthenia Gravis. The 'Rag Doll' illness cruely robbed mum of her energy and strength, her muscles flatly refused to do what my Mum told them to. She was no longer able to keep her job and everyday life became an unimaginable struggle. Until this time, mum had always been so full of life, working tirelessly at her job and for her family and friends. Her illness has directly complicated other health issues and mum has pulled herself through some scary and, on a couple of occassions, life-threatening situations.

Against all odds, she strives to lead a 'normal' life against this frustrating and demoralising illness. Mum bears the horrible side-effects of the drugs she must take for the rest of her life, with admirable strength, dignity and often humour.

This is what I admire about my mum the most.

Though her muscles are weak, she always finds the strength to get through the day and to help others get through theirs. She is always kind and patient, she is compassionate and considerate. Mum never asks for anything and always gives her all.

She is my rock, my best friend.

I am so proud to call her my Mum.

I love you Mum xxx Thankyou for giving me the push to do this page Tara, I have been wanting to do one of my mum for a long time, this is just te impetus I needed. Thankyou for looking, Tracey
