This is a great heritage layout--very masculine. I will remember the general idea behind it when I get as far as scrapping my grand and great-grand fathers. Thanks for sharing!
Your journaling is awesome! Love the circle with the brads and the swirl! And the clock is the coolest embellishment for this, it just makes you 'feel' the time has passed by.
I'm glad you found a way to honor your ggf like this. This is a wonderful page. It is so important to scrap our ancestors photos. You did a great job. I like the layered papers and your journalling.
Love the torn paper and the distressed swirl!! awesome job Susan, you should be so proud of your album!!! what a wonderful legacy to leave for your kids and gkids. :)
This is absolutely amazing!! I LOOOOVE these heritage LO's that you do. The Mr & Mrs one is perfect and now you've made perfect all over again. I love the clock, the key and keyhole and the sheet music! I'm in awe!!
This is sooooo pretty- love it! Hmm..I don't think we have that pic. Love all the embellishments and all the pp's! The torn edges and inking really give it that vintage feel! Wonderful job!
Love this page! I don't have this picture! At least, I don't think I do! Love all the vintage pps. The torn inked edges almost looked burned. Love the key and the lock and the clock, too! Great layout!
Now THIS is an outstanding Heritage layout! I keep staring at it and love all the details and distressing! Such a great photo and your embellies ROCK! Awesome job, Susan! Into my faves for inspiration!!!
My Great Grandfather ---my (maternal) grandfather's father. These heritage layouts are tough! I tucked the journaling behind the pp on the bottom. Journaling reads:
My Great Grandfather, - Doc (Grandma Perdue’s Grandfather). I don’t know what year he was born, but we believe this picture was made around 1912. I love how he is sitting so straight in the chair. In the background, I can see a mule and part of an old wagon, which I’m guessing was their only form of transportation. When I look at this picture, it really brings home to me the fact that had it not been for this man,…I wouldn’t be here today. He was my history. . . I am his future.
