SHCG: Sharon, baby. I love this with every bit of me. You have such a knack for layering papers, textures, and colors. The effect always leaves me feeling comfortable and warm. SHCG: Whomever gets this is definitely getting a piece of you--with your fab handwriting and collage technique in mini form here, coupled with the cute wings and envie, then finished off with the watercolor swipes and the unexpectedly coordinating pps. SHCG Quickie Challenge/Picasso Quote

This is my response to twinscrapbee/Brenda's Quickie Challenge for Scrap Happenzz Critique Group to create a postcard inspired by Picasso's quote “Art washes from the soul the dust of everyday life” in 23 minutes (10 mins gathering/conceptualizing, 13 minutes scrafting).

I SO enjoyed doing this because I am usually a slow, deliberate scrapper… putting a time limit on myself was challenging & fun! Thanks soo much for the cool & clever challenge, Brenda. This was the perfect way to get back into creating after a week away on vacation.

The adorable mini envelope & note I just bought at a cool place while vacationing in San Diego (Studio Maureen), the link of which I found on an ATC artist's site. The Heidi Swapp Ghost wings were Valentine's gifties to me from DRS CJ member Ann (thanks Ann!). FYI, the background cs already had a violet watercolor-y pattern on it, I added black, blue & purple inking (my sb buds won't be surprised to know that inking was my 1st step here).
