Looking back, I think I just ran out of creative juices when it came to week 6...I ended up drawing inspiration from an article in ShopSmart magazine, basically scraplifted the LO and images 1-5 for this entry.
journaling:
What will your next fashion statement be? I choose to make mine green.
Lately, with Christmas just around the corner & my birthday in January, I have been feverishly adding to my Kaboodle wish list. Ive been narrowing down my choices: Canon or Nikon? Coach or Dooney? But Ive recently made a stand on something very ordinary. Paper or Plastic?
And Ive chosen neither. I choose reuse. Its really not an inconvenience at all, once you make the switch. Even though I havent seen anyone else at the local grocery store using these reusable bags yet. Maybe they shop at different times than I do. I still feel like Im making the best statement by choosing not to add more plastic bags to the landfills. There are many green choices to make and this is one thats become part of my ordinary life.
1.Happybags Victoria print cotton tote is great for light loads; www.reusablebags.com; $20.
2.The Recycled Ad bag is roomy and has extra-sturdy seat-belt straps; www.reusablebags.com; $30.
3.Ecobags string tote comes in cool colors and can be tucked in a purse; www.reusablebags.com, $35 for set of 5.
4. LLBeans rugged boat tote has reinforced bottom; www.llbean.com; $17 to $30.
5. This synthetic tote comes in purple and other chic shades, and folds into its own compact pocket; www.myownbag.com; $49.
6. Local grocery store reusable bags I keep a stash of them on my passenger side seat or inside the trunk of my car, so that theyre always handy when I make those impromptu trips to the store. This also eliminates that excuse that I forgot to bring them. I like that they are comfortable to carry over my shoulders or in my hand. You dont get pinched or off balance like when carrying handfuls of plastic bags. Not to mention the little bit that it adds to my weekly exercise regimen. Theyre recyclable, reusable, lightweight, durable, & washable; www.earthwisebags.com, only $0.99.
7. whats your next fashion statement? Coach or Dooney? Paper or Plastic? I choose to make mine green.
