Give a Cheer
This is for the TC Uncircle Journal, for Misti's album. The theme is what three things you would want on a desert island.
The journaling on the left page says:
1. Books. Lots and lots and lots of books.
2. Ice Cream. Preferably with chocolate, caramel, or peanut butter (or a combo).
3. My tiara. So the natives know I'm a Princess!
On the Right hand side it says:
Okay, so I'll admit that I can think of a lot worse things than being left alone on a desert island. Life gets pretty loony in a house with two little boys and a psycho dog. A few weeks of quiet, sand, sun, and bananas doesn't sound too bad for me. As long as I get rescued before the ice cream runs out or I catch some weird tropical disease. My plan for my island stay is that the very buff, tan natives will recognize my princessness, build me a shelter from palm trees, string me up a hammock, and bring me grilled fish and pineapple for dinner. And after a couple weeks, the rescue plane will pick me up and bring me home! While I'm on my island, just so we're clear, alarm clocks, bras, and Retardo Dog aren't allowed!!!
Around the edge of the layout are the words of a song we used to have on a tape when I was a kid, I don't know who sang it but it's been in my head while I've been working on this page. It says "I pray in church every Sunday, 'Lord, send my troubles away! Send them down, send them out of town,' but they still around de next day. Now I know God is my Savior, He don't want me have no more pain! It seems so clear, since my trouble here, it is ME he be sending away. So, send me Lord to de Island, where palm trees sway by de shore. Life is slow, and de cool wind blow, and I won't have trouble no more."
