Description: After visiting Yellowstone and Mt. Rushmore, we drove south, toward Denver. Along the way, Hack mentioned that he would love to see the home he lived in from the time he was one until he was seven. Sidney, Nebraska was just a few hours out of our way, and we decided, at the last minute, to take a detour to this sleepy little town. By the time we rolled into Sidney, it was 9:30 p.m., and I was concerned that we wouldn't find a place to stay....fortunately, there were two motels that were still open, and we got a room. Then, we found a restaurant just before it closed! LIVING LIFE ON THE EDGE! LOL...Hack couldn't wait until daylight the next morning.....he didn't even wait for me to get up and ready He was SO excited to find his former home!.....I was getting ready, back at the motel...that's when he took these pics...By the time we had breakfast and went back to King and 24th St., we were fortunate enough to see the current owner outside....He and his wife are a lovely couple and invited us inside....they gave us a tour of their home. We visited a while, shared stories, and answered each other's questions. What a GIFT, to get to see the hearth that Santa came down, the pole on the back porch that Hack used to climb, Hack's room, the basement where he played, and the kitchen where his mom made all those wonderful meals!

I love this page! The stitching is wonderful, I have been thinking about getting those templates; they are in my wishlist. Now I am more convinced that I need them!
