Lots going on here! This is my Xmas tree from 2007 (only a year behind, lol). This started as a simple LO that just exploded. There is A LOT of dimension in this page and glitter (Viv should be proud of me!). I almost think there's waaaay too much here, but I like it anyway. :)
All of the papers have been edge distressed and some inked. The trees and reindeer are cut using the Christmas Cheer cartridge on my Cricut.
The small snowman was received in a die cut swap from here, while the other two snowmen are cut out from gift tags I got last Xmas from Target's $1 spot. Their bodies are FUZZY!!! Blue glitter was added to their hats and scarves to cover bright green. Brads were added to all snowmen for their buttons.
The large snowflake is from BG. I covered it with a light blue paint, then used a stiff-bristled brush to add in some white. It was painted VERY heavy and so there's some crackling to the paint. Glitter was added prior to it drying. After it dried, I cut a poinsettia from felt fusion, attached to the middle, then layered a silver bow (from a gift a student gave me) snowflake brad and a crystal brad (all glued with legs taken off).
The photo was distressed using Tim Holtz's vintage photo ink. Sorry it's so dark -- the photos were taken with just the tree lights, and it didn't turn out very well when I photographed this LO. Oh well....
Snowflake rubons and stickers randomly placed on the background paper. Each is layered with at least a crystal brad center or also with a snowflake brad. Some bells were then added (also from a gift from one of my students).
This LO was inspired by ~{Puppet}~'s "Decorate" (the multiphoto block printed as one photo) and Catz's "08 Tree..." (concept and overall design).
Thanks for spreading positivity!
