This is for my newborn's baby book. He just turned 5 months old and I wanted to document a few milestones. I can't believe I am actually all caught up, but it probably won't last long. Once he starts crawling, my scrapping days may be toast!
I used the Sassafras Lass chipboard elephant here but it wasn't the right color, so I inked it red, which dried sort of hot pink… I added a cardstock ear, which I inked with a flourish to give the illusion of texture. I used a Signo to draw his toenails and stamped “5 Months” on the elephants' body. I added a hanging tag from the trunk with the year, '09, stamped on.
The journaling says:
At 5 months, you:
Could roll over
Began eating cereal
Understood your name
Reached for toys
Babbled new sounds
But you still would not sleep through the night!
Yep, 150 consecutive nights of 4 am feedings….but we love him to pieces.
I always do his monthly photos with him in a plain white onesie so I can mark his growth. Plus, it's eaiser to scrap (no distracting colors or patterns!) I apologize that this layout may be slightly blurry and a bit too warm (yellow). I shot it inside without a flash and I think it's not as sharp as it should be.
Thanks for spreading positivity!
