You've handled this very difficult issue with a lot of grace and humor. Strangely, though we've never met, I'm proud of you - you are very strong and love how you are using humor w/the whole situation. This layout tells the story perfectly and is gorgeous. Love how you made EVERYTHING blue w/that snow cap eased in. Love this!
Fabulous!!! I love the monochrome of all the whatnots you have on here, from ribbon to gears- what fun! And the Sherlock Holmes cracks me up! Great page
Incredible!!!! This is simply unreal. Love the blueness and your painting. wow, I do love how you have tied your dad's identity to a super sleuth. Ingenious.
Way cool LO!! I love all the painting and gears! You are an amazing woman...and I'm glad that you can accept the mystery with a sense of humor. I pray that my daughter will also be able to deal with the "mystery" of her birth parents.
Wow! This is a great LO, Wonderful rich blues, love all the gears and the searching.......wondering......mystery.......glad you can look past some unanswered questions, you don't necessary need to know your past to move towards your future.
I saw this featured on the home page and was immediately curious..glad I looked and it is awesome!! Love all the blue and all the wonderful techniques and that cool image of Sherlock. You're description is very funny and amazing and touching and someday I hope you find out all you need to know. You're rocking the steampunk, Girl!
wow-Celina;what an amazing piece of art, and I admire the way you handle your "mystery"...in the grand scheme of things, life's too important to be taken seriously!!
Very cool work, I love the colors and the gears, just awesome!!!!! I love the Sherlock and how it goes so well with the Father mystery, stay strong my friend, love your work girl!!!!!
That is amazing that you view it with a sense of humor. A lot of people would become seriously depressed or troubled by it. I think it shows the strength of your character that you have such a healthy outlook. This is a fantastic LO!! I just love love love the details!
aww, knowing your story, this makes your layout even more special. I'm going to show this to my daughter when she comes in tonight from playing. Even though I never kept info from her about her father, she never met him as he lived on the other side of the country and chose not to be part of her life. He passed away three years ago.
I completed this for Father's Day. I am submitting it as an example for my Steampunk Challenge, for the ABC and Monochrome Challenges, and the Paint and Mist challenge.
The topic of an unsolved mystery comes up for Father's Day for me, since I do not know who my father is. My mother never told anyone who he was and since she passed away when I was five, I may never know. I have a sense of humor about all of it though.
