Awesome vintage/masculine lo. I love all the grungy elements - the corrugated card, the chicken wire and the distressing. There's so much detail in this, so much depth and dimension too. Love it.
YAY, I knew you couldn't resist the distressed side of the kit! Only so much pastel, and then it's time to change it up. I love the fact that these kits are so versatile! BTW, gorgeous layout!
I love how you take it and make it your own.. you're so creative and an inspiration. Cool masking and the barbed wire and the strips.. another knockout fave
Wow! You didn't hold back at all here! I love that filmstrip ribbon you used I am seeing that on more and more layouts I must get some! Great job distressing and layering everything...the look is phenomenal! And so is the photo. I see on closer inspection that the border punched around the page you actually made into a frame and used the paper from the inside on the front! I must try that technique! FAVE!!!!!!!!!
Love it...funny, but I have a photo I was trying to scrapbook this weekend and didn't because I was "stuck"...of my grandfather and friend in front of an old truck, circa 1928! This will inspire me! TFS
Created using the Scraps Of Elegance kit and my beloved Dusty Attic Chicken Wire 12x12 DA0457.
This is not particularly elegant, but my intention is to show you that you can adapt the kit to fit your needs. Don't get hung up on the name of the kit. If you love doing stronger masculine layouts, or have a whole lot of men and boys in your life that you scrap, this kit is easily adaptable! No worries there.
This is a photo taken from Terra Free Images called Dad, Me, Johnny and Johnny's Friend.
