this sweet photo is of my husband's great aunt and uncle. when i met them in '94, uncle george was well into the final stages of cancer and Alzheimer disease. from what i've been told of him, he was a very smart man who was genius at math and loved to read. .... sadly, he passed on june 12, 1995; exactly a year later to the day, my son was born. it was a bittersweet day for aunt re...... i'd like frame this and give it to aunt re (that's what everyone calls her) for her birthday next month; she'll be 98!! she still lives alone and does remarkably well for her age...... she loves butterflies, so i threw a few in for her :) tfl! ....... p.s., my inspiration for this lo was natalie (nkaigle)..... although i did not do HER work justice, i appreciate her allowing me to try!!
