This is my picture for my passport from when I was in the Air Force reserves. I was getting ready to deploy to Oman for Desert Shield when there was an uproar in Kuwait back in 1985 or there about. And then later it became Desert Storm when the bombing began. Two days before my squadron got deployed, they called me and this other guy from my shop and said they didn't need us. The rest of the shop went. I wanted to go so bad. that was the most boring 4 months of my reserve time. The guys in my shop were my family (and Judy!) Oh, and just about everyone who got military passports in my squadron that day are wearing the same shirt! Not allowed to wear your uniform. Underneath the shirt I'm wearing my cammy, you can see my t-shirt.

On the back of this picture I wrote, "everyone hates this picture but me. I love it!" I still do! I wish I was that skinny today!

I cut the doily with my Silhoutte and played with some Perfect Pearls mist. I had used a Pearl card stock and so I figured if I didn't like how it turned out on the black I could use the other side. But you can't see too well, but on the bottom half, is the outline of the doily. The birds I cut out with a white pearly cs I got from the kit. The title tag I got from TJ was on white paper so I misted that too. It looks really pretty IRL. I originally cut out birds because I thought on the original sketch there were birds on the bg paper and I thought that fit my personality in those days. My daughter said mom, those are flowers.. Oh well, I like the birds. I was free sprited back in those days..
