My Mark On The World ~*~Nuts About Sketches~*~

This is my elder daughter.

Most people who know me know my younger one, but they are often surprised to find out that I'm the mother of two. Beth graduated from high school the spring before we moved to our current residence in central Oklahoma. She elected to stay back in the NE corner of the state, go to school, and begin working at Barnes & Noble in Tulsa. None of the people who know me here have met her. Their paths have just never had a reason to cross.

And yet, this is the child that will "live" my legacy - she is my mark on the world. Her attitude, her work ethic, her drive, her ambition, her sense of humor, her whole approach toward life. It's as if I were watching myself 25 years ago. I'm so proud of her I could just explode, which would, of course, embarrass her to no end.
