Well our cars certainly do tell a lot about us and what's going on in our lives. I traded in my VW buss for a mommy wagon when I gave birth to twins. Nearly broke my heart to part with that van! But having the babies sure made up for it! :)
Amazing that you have photos of all these cars! I could not even remember half of the ones during our 47 years of marriage! I do love my latest one though, maybe that is the key.....loving the car!
Awesome page! So cool that you had pictures of all your cars. I don't have pictures of any of my old cars, don't even remember what they were except for my very first car. Would love to have that car again! This is an amazing photo sequence and amazing journaling!
Great Idea - I doubt if I could remember before my divorce because I had absolutely no say in it, but I definitely remember each car that I had to pick out and buy on my own! Love the journaling!
Fantastic take on the challenge, even if it is slightly off topic. What a great idea to remember each and every car. Loved the joy ride. LOL. Great title too. AWESOME job.
OMG I love that you told the tale of your cars! That is so much fun! My car is about to hit 100k miles... Its kind of a big moment because its the first car I bought new...all those miles are mine. Scary.
I adore that you used Disney's Cars movie stickers and you did the journaling in your own handwriting.
Journaling reads : These are the cars that I have owned throughout my lifetime so far. Left page. My ex husband got this Plymouth Fury when he graduated from college. When we got married it became my car too. We drove it to Florida for our honeymoon (Penn State was in the Orange Bow). In 1971 we drove it cross county. In 1973 it was stolen and we bought a brand new 1974 Plymouth Duster. We brought all three girls home from the hospital in that car. Eventually the engine went and we got a Chevy Impala Station wagon, great for our growing family. In 1985. The engine went in that one too. In 1985, I was divorced and bought a Toyota Tercel to be economical.Abby took that car on a joy ride to Maryland when she was in high school and supposed to be in school but was back to pick me up at the train station after work. I hardly noticed the additional 300 miles. In 1994, the car was still running but I was sick of it and leased a 1994 Gold Mazda 626 and a Black Mazda 626 in 1997 for my long commute to work. In 2000 I leased a Toyota Camry and then bought the car when the lease was over because I was in graduate school and didn't want to spend money on a new car. In 2006 when I got my master's degree, my husband bought me the car of my dreams, a Toyota Solara convertible, white with a black roof. I am still driving and loving that car. For BOM challenge, slightly off topic of learning to drive, Music Challenge, Category 1, song with a twist of metal gears, the new sticker challenge, Volume Scrapping, VLB and Compliment Corner
