This started as a plain white jewelry gift box. I glued down the dimensional pieces to the top of the box first, using Glossy Accents. These included the alpha blocks, gromlets, tiny rhinestones, cut pieces of thick leather cord and some hardware pieces. Then, I crumpled up two layers of foil and glued it over the top using Mod Podge, while pressing and rubbing around the dimensional pieces. I painted in purple, dried, mixed some pink with the leftover purple and added it for highlights. Dry again and cover in black, making sure to get down into all the crevices. Using the mini mister with water, I sprayed, dabbed off the black, sprayed, dabbed... Over and over until I got the look desired. When dry, I rubbed on the metallic silver paint. Sealed with gel medium.
