Help! Need creative ideas!

Hi, I was just looking through scrap booking.com web site and noticed your site.If you are looking for ideas on how to decorate your cabinet what about mod podge glue and cover it with pretty wrapping paper or use paper copies of your family or special events in your life.That way it becomes like a photo album for everyone to look at.If you have kids it could be a pretty neat project for them to help with it.Trish

I would get some Rustoleum, spray it with several thin coats of whatever color you love and then mod podge some wordart/pictures on that.

I think that's a great idea im going to an action in a couple weeks and it has some cabinets I want hope I get them 1st time im not real sure what to do but guess ill find out good luck can't wait to see picks when done

Bunch of great ideas! Thank you all so much for commenting. And I agree, it needs a lot of work, but for $25 I couldn't pass it up. I'm really leaning toward the sub-way sign idea, painting it and mod podging the letters seems like the easiest way to do that. I also love the idea of a painted cookie sheet and using magnets! I have a feeling it's going to be a collage of all your ideas! Thank you, laaaadies! :)

Needs a lot of work. Replace the metal shelves with particle board and they will be flat and even and you can paint them...........I vote for white!

Paint it then modge podge the words on it made from colorful vinyl. Great find.

Or maybe paint it with chalkboard paint (it comes in all colors now). Maybe attach a metal cookie sheet (painted to match) to the front and it could serve as both a chalkboard and a magnetic surface.

I would paint it, but in a light colour, that way it would be easier to "show off" embellishments. I love the significant words idea, A vertical scrapbook!

I would paint it. That way in the future if you want to change it you can,also you can use magnets on it and become very creative with the magnets or hot glue magnets to some favorite things or storage canisters(small ones).
