This Gesso from Faber-Castell is so versatile, so essential! Use it to prime surfaces for watercolor or paint, lighten Gelatos colors (sold separately), make watercolors more opaque, create white stamped images and cover up "mistakes". Try this matte white opaque medium with all of your paper crafting and mixed media projects. Each package includes one 3.3 oz. jar of Gesso.
This product is not intended to add mass. Simply brush it on any white paper and allow it to dry. When dry, the gesso acts as a buffer for the gelatos or water colors so that they don't soak into the paper. You can create drippy, light-colored effects more easily with this product.
Gesso is supposed to fill in stencils and such. This is too thin and seeps right trough the stencil. Very disappointing.
