Take any metal embellishment.. I tried this with some of those old Making Memories pewter medallions, some tin photo turns and some charms.

You will need:
Perfect Pearls in varying colors
Clear Embossing Powder (more on that in a minute)

Alligator clip tool or tweezers
heat gun
wax paper and a tray

coat your metal item with Versamark
coat generously with Perfect Pearls, brush off excess
coat generously with embossing powder but don't brush off too much
pick up the item with the alligator clip
with your heat tool heat from the back side until the embossing powder melts and is smooth. If you get bubbles, add more powder and heat again.

Let cool.

On the thicker pieces I heated from the front too.

When I tried this I was out of clear powder so I used Kaleidoscope which gives it a little sparkle.

I mixed colors on the metal for a different effect such as a fall leaf.
On an acorn I used a different color for the cap and the bottom.

I love the look and can't wait to freshen up some of the tired looking metal in my stash.
