Cameo Silhouette is my new love..

I just received my Cameo and I totally impressed. I have been on the fence for several months about buying another cutting machine. Now I understand what many have said "if I had to give up all of my machines for one I would NOT give up my Cameo." Well said everyone. I just did my first project and I chose a cut and print and also one that I had to color, change cut lines and print. So super easy. Hardest part is being patient and lining up my mat. New user over excited. So so perfect!!! If you are considering a electronic cutting machine I say do your self a favor and get the Cameo. I will be experimenting with different papers tomorrow after work. I am anxious to try Coordinations (white core and see how well it cuts that). Watch for more updates because I am super super impressed and that it hard to impress me with my experience with different cutting machines. GREAT job with this machine Silhouette America!!

I got mine right before Christmas. I love how easy it was to transfer from the Gypsy to the Silhouette. I trashed my first mat too. I put tape underneath it and it is still going strong. Good thing it came with two mats and I bought two at A's. I have tried to cut very intricate things and I can see there will be a learning curve on that part, but I do love this machine (minus the obnoxious noise it makes).

Gald to hear you are happy with your Silhouette Cameo. It is an awesome machine. I just bought some "free" shapes off there. You can find them just have to look for them.

I'm loving my Cameo too....just got it before Christmas as a present.
I had a bit of a learning curve to get going on it.....destroyed my first cutting mat because I was not lining it up correctly (they really do need to work on the instructions that come with the machine.... )
I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to do with all the tags, flowers, borders etc...that I have in my stash because I just want to make that stuff with my Cameo now!
I just ordered the sketch pens too and I can't wait to play with those!

Love mine too!! Every cut is perfect.

Yeah or I type in 50 in the search bar of the silhouette store. I was looking for the number 50 but came up with different shapes that had nothing to do with the number and saw some free shapes. It only about 4 pages and some of the shape will have free shapes.
There are about 20 free shapes I think. But every Tuesday they have free shapes. That you see on the main page of the store. But you probably already know about that.

The 50 trick does work. Its suppose to be the original 50 designs that were first offered with the first software version. I got 42 extra ones.

You can transfer stuff from the gypsy? I'm really thinking of buying a Silhouette but I have over 30 carts for my cricut and have a hard time justifying buying another machine. But....if I can use those from my gypsy....then just maybe....

No--I think the PP meant the software...being familiar with using a Gypsy to create/design and then using the Silhouette Studio software to create/design.
