EYELETS

Does anyone use eyelets anymore? I can't remember when I last used them and I have such a HUGE stash of the little buggers!

Funny you should ask this - but I've been using them lately!! It started out that I was using the jumbo eyelets to make handles for some candy packaging I like to make my DDs college friends. Then since I had the bin of 'em out I started to use them in some cards - next will be the sbs when I find some pictures that "speak" to me ----the problems of having older kids - they despise pix!

I've issued myself a personal challenge to use up some of the stuff I've hoarded which maybe partly why I'm using eyelets again.

Yes, I still use them on a regular base.

I mostly use them for altered/hybrid/card projects. Not so much on lo's.

I love them I use them in everything. I love them for center of diecut flowers.

post some inspiring ideas on how to use eyelets.

I hope to see some things posted with eyelets too...I have so many of them and I never use them. I would love to see some creative uses since I have both sizes of crop a diles!

I've started using them again, trying to use up things I have, just like mentioned above. I do like the look, I just have to be careful not to mash them

I use them more on homemade albums...to make pockets, string ribbon thru, etc.

Im such a slacker.. I haven't used a eyelet or brad in years. I'm just too lazy I guess

I love eyelets and brad they are one of my fav's when I start getting low on a color I get terribly anxious so afraid I can't get more. LOL

I guess I'm like a lot of the people who already responded.

I have TONS of eyelets, but don't use them as much as I used to.

I am trying (like many others) to USE my stash, rather than, or instead of, buying more.

I use them and love them. I do however have a TON of the super tiny ones...does anyone even know what the smallest size is? I have them in about 30 colors...and don't use the smallest ones very often. If you do and want some, pm me and let me know.

Go eyelets!

I use them quite a bit as an alternative to adhesive. For instance - I mostly use vellum for my journalling and sometimes I just don't want to glue the vellum down because it changes the character of the paper, I like the milky ghosty quality of vellum. So - eyelets are perfect. Sometimes I use brads.

I love eyelets! I too have a ton of them and I have been trying to use them more, especially since I got my WeR Memory Keepers Big Bite....it makes setting eyelets a breeze! Here are some of my favorite ways that I have used them recently.

This page perhaps has my favorite use of eyelets.
I attached my eyelets in a row about 3/4 inch apart and then threaded jute through them. It creates a really fun look! Also I used eyelets to attach the beaded frame to the photo. I just secured an eyelet in each corner of the photo, threaded the string through the hole, added the beads, and took the thread down through the next hole. It created a great look for this page.

Another one of my favorite eyelet looks is with my favorite border punch by Fiskars called Threading Water. When you punch it you get these really cool holes with it and they are the perfect size for eyelets. It gives the punch a whole new look, which I love!

I hope this inspires someone else to get out their eyelets and play too...in fact, I might just get out my eyelets to play with on my next page too!

I LOVE eyelets and use them every where. I especially like to put one side by side to add string through and tie a bow. But then I do a lot of vintage style and it seems to work so well with it.
